2024-25 Leadership Award in Student Journalism (Scholarship Application)

Seniors earning the 2024-25 NSPA Leadership Award in Student Journalism may apply for the Leadership in Student Journalism Scholarship.

 

Applicants are required to study journalism or communications at a college or university during the 2025-26 school year. Taking collegiate journalism or communications classes meets this qualification. A declared major is not required.

 

This form must be submitted with special care to include the following requested information:

  • Verification of current cumulative grade-point average through the end of the first semester or trimester of the 2024-25 school year. GPA can be reported by a letter from the school guidance counselor, transcript or a screenshot of an academic portal showing this information. NSPA reserves the right to verify the information with your school.
  • A letter of recommendation from your adviser.
  • An essay outlining your student media experience and future plans.
