Starting with the 2022-23 membership year, there is a $99 fee for an NSPA-member student media outlet (Broadcast, Magazine, Newspaper/Newsmagazine, Online, Yearbook) to participate in the Individual Awards. The fee must be paid before access is granted to the BetterBNC platform to submit entries.

The $99 fee must be paid no later than May 24, 2023, to participate in the 2022-23 competition. 

For payments received on May 24, 2023, the BetterBNC platform will be open by May 26, 2023. 

Award submission deadline is June 1, 2023, at 5 p.m. CT.
